God’s Hand on Our Ministry through the Years

Pastor Brown received a call from God in 2010 to establish a ministry. Both he and Co-Pastor Brown stepped out on faith by saying “yes” to God in February of that same year. Through prayer and supplication, God put on the hearts of the Pastor and his family that the name of their church was to be Grace and Mercy Temple Ministry. The church motto would become: “Leading People to Stay Connected to Christ.”

Although Pastor Brown received many prophesies throughout the years, the manifestation is now being realized. Grace and Mercy started in the home of Pastor Brown, where Bible Study was hosted three nights per month, from February through November 2010. Pastor and Co-Pastor, after much prayer, decided that a more adequate church site was required.

Both Pastors began diligently searching for a home for Grace and Mercy Temple. After driving many miles throughout Liberty County, a vacant building on Airport Road was found. Pastor Brown expressed his desire to rent the facility for church services to the building’s owner, and the owner consented. In order to finalize the deal, Pastor would be required to present his plan to the Walthourville City Council. However, he did not realize the obstacles that he would be faced with. The zoning committee for the City of Walthourville informed Pastor Brown that the location selected to be the home of Grace and Mercy Temple was, in fact, a commercial zone and therefore not suited for a church.

The saints again fasted and prayed which led to the zoning category being changed from commercial. The zoning committee informed the City Council that the category revision made the site eligible for a place of worship and a new request for Grace and Mercy Temple was submitted. In November 2010, a vote was made and motion carried for Grace and Mercy Temple Ministry to be located at 2658 A Airport Road. On December 5, 2010 God affirmed His charge to Pastor Brown and brought to pass the vision. The first service was held and souls were added to the ministry. In February 2012, Grace and Mercy Temple was able to expand its worship services by adding a Fellowship Hall to the ministry. The success of Grace and Mercy is proof that as long as one is obedient to God’s call, He will always fulfill His promises.

 From the Pastors:

We take the charge of the Lord seriously and forever holdfast to this truth: the people belong to God. We have a charge to keep and a God to glorify. The Lord has set His approval on the ministry and the blessings have overtaken us in a short time. The awesome move of God has caused us to see God’s handiwork on earth and to declare His glory. We look to God to lead us in a plain path so that we might not error or fail Him but celebrate Jesus! We stand firm on the scripture that says: “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:5).
