She graduated from Lumen CordiumHigh School in 1986 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1988 to serve her country. Her first duty station was in Fairbanks, Alaska where she met and married the love of her life Eric L. Duren. God has blessed them with two sons, Eric Jr. and DeAndre (married to Jaree) and a beautiful grandson Kyler Andre'. Elder Duren believes her first ministry is to the Lord and her second is to her family whom she loves dearly.

Elder Duren currently works at St. Joseph Hospital as a Registered Nurse and Resource Coordinator.

Elder Duren accepted Christ into her life as her Lord and Savior in 1992 while attending Holy Ghost Corner COGIC at Schofield Barrack, HI under the leadership of Elder Washington. Elder Duren accepted her call into ministry in 1995 and was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel November 13, 2005 at Victory Chapel Multi-Cultural Gospel Service under the leadership of Chaplain David S. Dail. Elder Duren was ordained as an elder November 13, 2013 at Grace and Mercy Temple Ministries, Inc. under the leadership of Pastor Thomas L. Brown.

The Lord has given Elder Duren the grace to serve in numerous positions in the ministry but her ultimate desire is to faithfully serve and love the Lord with all of her heart, mind, and soul and to love and serve his people. Her passion is ministering the word of God through teaching and preaching. She has learned, however, that her lifestyle is her most effective witness and speaks the loudest to the world. She strives in the “Spirit of Excellence” in the work of the ministry as God requires all His servants. It is her desire that she will continue to love and serve God through serving His people in faith and love.
